Wanderlust: Saint Tropez

Wanderlust: Saint Tropez

While I am sitting at work, it seems that everyone is jet setting and vlogging about their amazing summer holidays.  I’m finding myself scrolling through one holiday post after another on social media.  All the while, I am going day in and day out at my summer job.  I can’t help but be envious of all the people who get to spend their summer vacations doing just that, vacation.  Lately, I’ve been wanderlusting for a trip down to the South of France; Saint Tropez to be exact.

Saint Tropez

The South of France has held a special place in my heart since 2012.  It was the first part of France that I had the opportunity to visit, which opened up the door to the experiences I’ve been so fortunate to have had.  Saint Tropez has been on my bucket list of places in France to go and visit.  The mediterranean’s beautiful crystal blue waters make it the perfect holiday location.  Whether you enjoy swimming, boating, or just laying out in the sun; you are bound to enjoy the gorgeous clear waters that hug the coast of this town.

Popping Colors

The South of France is lined with little fishing towns that are full of beautifully colored buildings and flowers.  Saint Tropez is certainly one of those places.  The buildings are painted an assortment of beautiful pastel colors that are sure to catch anyones eye. I’m a sucker for pastels and this place would suck me right in.  The picturesque buildings are among one of the reasons why I am dying to visit. As if the beautifully colored buildings weren’t enough, the city is covered in beautiful, brightly colored flowers.  Bougainvillea is a common flower that grows in warmer climates, and it sprawls throughout Saint Tropez.  The flower is something that can be found all around my home town of San Diego, which gives this little slice of France a ‘right at home’ feeling that I would love to be able to experience while thousands of miles away from California.

The Mediterranean Sea

I’ve had a love affair with the ocean for as long as I can remember. When I first visited the South of France, I was taken by the Mediterranean.  It is a stunning body of water in shade of blue I had never seen before.  The waters are crystal clear with vibrant blue and turquoise colors.  Saint Tropez sits right up on the gorgeous blue waters, which make for a perfect summer evening walking along the ocean.  I’m dying to see the beautiful crystal waters up against the vibrant pastel colors of the buildings that line the coast line.
